The mother of all cookies...i promise you this!

So I got this recipe off my fabulous friend Kaela's blog today..and we had a ward party tonight...so I thought I'd whip up a batch. THANK HEAVENS THAT I HALVED THE BATCH! I used our kitchen aid and it was totally overflowing!!! But I can't even tell you how amazingly delicious they are. The dough was delish and then the cookies baked were even more phenomenal. I am in love. You all need to make them...and honestly- if you do not have a ginormous bowl...then half the recipe. Thank you Kaela for sharing!!

Monster Cookies

1 doz. eggs
2 lb. brown sugar
4 c. sugar
1 lb. butter
16 c. oatmeal (must be old fashioned rolled oats)
3 lb. peanut butter
1 lb. plain M & M's
1 lb. chocolate chips
8 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. vanilla

Cream eggs, sugar, vanilla, butter, peanut butter, soda and other ingredients. Mix in very large dish pan. Drop by ice cream scoop on to cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.

This recipe makes a HUGE batch. Get out your biggest mixing bowl and get ready to do some major mixing. This recipe can be halved easily. Whatever you don't use, can be freezed easily!

P. to the S. I forgot to buy M&Ms so I just added more choc chips..which was okay for me anyway, since I've never really loved M&M's in cookie. But do what you will.

P.P.S- So I decided to add a picture of the cookie dough (cuz don't you worry...i just made some more this morning. whatever) but the picture is after I'd mixed in the oatmeal and chocolate chips a little bit..so it had settled a smidge.

just throwin this out to the universe.....

should we have t-shirts made for our upcoming NKOTB concert?

We have plenty of time to come up with a design..its not until November. i'm so excited- fun times will be had by all. that is, if i'm still alive by november. i'm not PLANNING on dying, but you never know. crazier things have happened.

My prayers tonight will need to include the words.. please just let me live long enough to see my elementary school crush Jordan in concert. After that- I'm all yours.

I just wish that I still had the biographies that my mom was kind enough to let me get through the book order in elementary school. I also had tapes, a hot pink duffle bag that said NKOTB, a couple posters, a pillow and i think thats it. Who knew they'd make such a comeback all these years later.

GO FIGHT WIN NKOTB!

Need I Say More

The following is why I am such good friends with my sisters. I just received this email from my sister Anneke (the subject of the email was OH MY GOSH!!!!):

IT's TRICKY

I had a BEYOND FABULOUS weekend.

Might I share some highlights:

We went to a Birthday party for the cutest lady in my ward on Friday night and played Karaoke on the PS2 with some hilariously fun people from my ward. But for me the best part of the night was hearing my Bishop sing 'Love Shack' and impersonating the guy's voice to a Tee!!!!!! It was hilarious- although I don't know that 'hilarious' really truly explains the greatness of it all.

Saturday we had a BBQ and played Wii at my brother's house. I texted my cute sister thats in VA to tell her that I was so excited to play Wii with my brother Aaron cuz i KNEW he would get way into it......I totally called it. Not only did he literally hit me in the head and nearly hit his innocent by stander wife in the head while playing wii tennis, but he full on DOVE for a ball - STILL JUST WII TENNIS MIND YOU, NOT REAL LIFE- THE WHOLE GAME CAN BE PLAYED WITH A FLICK OF THE WRIST!- and landed on his knees...oh. my. gosh. PURE GOLD! I am so dying laughing right now just thinking about it!! It was thee greatest moment of my life. And I'm sure a high point for his wife and children. TOO FUNNY!

Don't worry thats not all he did- later during wii bowling, he was bowling with such force that the controller flew out of his hand and flew up and chipped their ceiling. Luckily it didn't hit their light fixture. It was so ridiculous- we died laughing. After that he gladly wore the wrist strap.

But really- his ridiculousness blended right in with all the rest of us. We all had our own victory dances and yelled and cheered and celebrated way too much. It was so great.

I love my family.

(oh ps- HOW DARE I?! I totally almost forgot...we bought a fondue pot and took it to the bbq on saturday, and Brad made some delicious chocolate fondue. I love you Fransy)

Why is there a piece of SHOE on your head?

This is exactly why people like me SHOULDN'T vote.

Brad: We need to vote tonight.

Andrea: Vote? Oh.....Yeah..for So You Think You Can Dance.

Brad: ..........no. For the Republican Primaries.

Andrea: Oh. Woops.
