nice suspenders

So this is my brother Ammon. He's basically crazy if you ask me. He is a bullfighter- aka a rodeo clown (but i think calling a bullfighter a rodeo clown is frowned upon- ESPECIALLY by the bullfighter. cuz c'mon- if you did this...wouldnt you prefer the more manly title of 'bullfighter'. I think you would) Anyway- Like I said- he's a bullfighter for the Intermountain Pro Rodeo Association. He does rodeos in Tooele at 4th of July, Ogden, Spanish Fork, Logan- pretty much all over Utah and some surrounding states. As much as I love my brother- I HATE going to a rodeo he's in because it scares me to death. I prefer not actually even hearing when he's going to be doing a rodeo cuz I worry about him.

But anyway- I just saw some of these pictures he had on his facebook account and I just thought I'd share, because I love him and I know he loves doing rodeos - so I'm proud of him for doing it. He got some award like Bullfighter of the Year or something (I guess I should know that as a sister) and he got this totally decked out huge belt buckle for it. It's his pride and joy. What a funny boy. It's so wierd to me that my own brother is a cowboy of sorts. Cuz I'm so not that way. But oh well.

look at how high that bull is kicking- who knew they could be so agile?
I dont know why anyone would think this was a good idea....but he did this little "act" thing to entertain the crowd where he would ride a bull backwards- with his feet tucked under its horns.

Um.. don't think I could even stand on that barrel- especially whilst having that bull charging at me. But I guess he didn't mind- just gave him more leverage to jump over the bull- and que the picture below....

just a couple quotes from tonight

Michael: "What part of shorn't don't you understand, Kevin?"

Michael: "Oscar Meyer Weiner...lover"

Phyllis: "Michael, I have a friend that is single...Sandy. She's gorgeous and has a FEISTY personality."
Michael: "Hmm...feisty.. So she's not jolly or sassy? Not like a jolly sassy opera singer?"

Michael on the phone: "This is Kevin's friend, Michael." "this isn't Wendy." "Well can you put her on then please." "dude, this is a Wendys restaraunt."

stop it right now

im sorry to be talking about dodge ball AGAIN, but I am. I was soo hyper after playing dodge ball last night - cuz it was so surprisingly fun, and when I got home I started looking at blogs and WOULDNT YOU JUST KNOW!!! My friends Spencer and Ashley had just posted about dodgeball. Spencer was in a dodgeball tournament! How cool is that?!! I always knew I loved them. It sounds hilarious! and I really hope there's a dodgeball tournament around here. Some of those young men from my ward should be on a team. I would NEVER join a dodgeball tournament, because I'm like the worst ever- but I would be there yelling obsenities, i mean just yelling, from the sidelines.

i'm in serious dodgeball pain today. in hindsight, i was probably too rambunxious last night and will now be released. (brad thinks i might just be asked to not come back.) there's just too many reasons why i should be released because of last night- 1) I was terrible and that's just embarrassing 2)I was sweating so bad, it was gross (especially cuz i was dressed up) 3)i yelled way too much, and way too loud. 3) i cheered when people got hurt (and I think i even laughed at others misfortunes a couple times- but hey they could laugh at my fall if they wanted.) 4) i cheated on one of my General Conference question- well not cheated per se, but I had already been asked a question before and didnt tell them

all in all- im too overzealous about this whole dodgeball thing and I recognize and accept that. so onto the next stage....what IS the next stage after acceptance? -denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance............?? oh i think thats the last one. and i think those are the stages of grief anyway.

ok- im done posting about dodgeball....for now. please keep reading my blog!

mild disclaimer:

[might i just add a small disclaimer for my incessant capitalizing and over punctuating on that last post- I just got a facebook account despite my serious amount of thinking it's lame and pointless- and wouldn't you know..it was like freaking Christmas. I found so many people that I haven't seen or heard from forever. so it made me really excited. (and let's face it- i just realllly enjoyed dodgeball tonight- although I kept having to choose my words carefully because there were, after all, large balls and small balls, red ones and blue ones, that were flying all over and towards heads and such. "WHOA! I ALMOST GOT HIT BY TWO BIG BALLS!" see ....not so good. "throw me some of those big balls would ya!" ALSO not so good. i could continue, but I think you get the picture. Im not trying to be crass, to you sweet people, it was just a fact of life. I just didnt want to sound like a perv.)

so anyway.... braddy - thank you for FORCING me into getting a facebook acct. and I mean he really did have to force me- like twist my arm, hold me at gunpoint type of force me. I don't know why I thought it was such a teeny bopper thing to do..because it's more decent than i thought.

i guess its true- senior citizens, although slow and dangerous behind the wheel...CAN still serve a purpose.

what the heck...let's all be friends!]

So no way. I went to Mutual tonight- do they still call it mutual? Or is it Young Mens/Young Womens? I should know this- but I feel its not that big of a deal. Anyway. There were like 15 young men and 3 or 4 young mens leaders - and 3 girls, and 4 of us woman leaders- and yes that is the technical name of my calling- woman leader. So it was a combined YM YW tonight- we played dodgeball. I was quite skeptical at first- what with me being all out of shape, not a good aim, being dressed up, having on glasses and a major fear of getting hit in the head. But when it came to go time..... holy cow- I kept TRYING to calm down and NOT be so into it- but I couldn't help it!!! Just when I would tell myself to take it down a notch, a teammate would nail someone in the head with a big red ball and I'd be screaming and high fiving all OVER the place!!!! It was just too fun!

If you got out you had to go answer a question from General Conference and then you could go back in. It was great because they ran out of questions and starting asking Articles of Faith- get out of my way is all I have to say about that!! I can say all 13 of them in like 60 seconds. So I was out IN out IN out IN that fast!

So anyway we played for an hour straight. my arm. is SO dead. I could only ever get this one kid out- cuz he would always stand up close to our side and was NEVER paying attention. It was rad. k maybe it WAS a cheap shot. but hey- NOT MY FAULT!! go stand back against the wall if you dont want to run the risk of having Dodgeball Frandsen all over you k!!!

Low Points of the night
- Coming straight from work and being dressed up and getting all sorts of sweaty. sliding on my own pants that were dragging on the ground and falling sooo hard on my tailbone. feeling so old because after throwing the ball 2 times my arm felt like it might fall off. and almost falling...again- get a grip right?!

High Points - well not getting hit in the head like this one kid was nice. Every time he came back in from getting out he kept getting hit in the head, or close to. poor guy. It knocked his glasses off and i think he might have cried. I felt bad...and feared for my own head. 2nd High point- Having one of the young men put on some fingerless gloves so he could get a better grip on the ball, and being totally for real about it....sweeet.

So now that I've lost the respect of my fellow woman leaders (and all of you i'm SURE) from being so rowdy at mutual, and now that my arm is about to be sore for the rest of eternity, and finally now that I've used up this week's quota of exclamation points and capital letters- im going to bed!!

ix-nay on the atorade-hay

So MAYBE I listen to Prince. And MAYBE I DO listen to '7' approximately 3 or 4 times a day.

I don't understand all the animocity. Why does noone else like Prince?

It's not such a crime is it?

I think not, kerels.

does anyone mind if i kill myself

I sometimes wonder how the heck I work where I work. Some of the people in this place are so crazy. The other day I walked by the breakroom, walked 2 steps past the doorway stopped, paused, and reversed. Because I just HAD to make sure I had seen/heard correctly. The room was full of people eating lunch and there was a kid with his back turned to everyone, staring out the windows, playing a guitar. Wha? huh? wha? I think it's great he plays the guitar..in fact I wish i knew how to play the guitar (well not to brag, but I DO know Im leaving on a Jetplane....and When You Say Nothin at All - but I think everyone that went to Ricks College learned those 2 songs on the guitar). But I just thought it was strange that he A) Brought his guitar to work B)thought it would be a good idea to serenade everyone with his back facing them while they ate lunch and C)i dont know..but it's just strange.

We also have a Laaarge man that has a shaved head EXCEPT for the top part of his head. He keeps that part long and fashioned in a pony tail. So youve got the ponytail and full head of hair for the top 1/4 of his head, and the bottom 3/4 is military style. Well he sports around an oxygen tank all day cuz he clearly can't breathe right. But what makes me a little baffled is that I see him outside with his oxygen tank by his side (oxygen face mask off) smoking a cigarette. That's like a double whammy right??..or am IIIIII the crazy one??? I googled 'white trash hair styles', and shockingly enough this picture WASNT the first picture to come up. I was just SURE that's what he must have told his 'stylist' he wanted. "I want a #2 on the sides and alllll white trash up top please." But anyway- this is the closest thing to his hair style I could find- but he just has more shaved and less 'pony'.

There is also this old woman...watch she's probably like 37...and she just LOOKS like she lived to be 103, and has now been dead for 12 years (because of all the smoking). She is entirely short and round and is always waddling to the bathroom or is outside on the bench with one stubby leg up, smoking. One day I was leaving work and stopped outside to talk to a friend and she was of course out smoking and apparently had to waddle back inside to use the bathroom- and as she "walked" away (and I use that term loosely) ..she said, "if my ride comes, tell them i'll be back." what?! I have seen this lady AROUND, but I don't KNOW her. She just works in the bldg. I don't know who her ride is, and I'm sure as heck not sticking around to see the death that is picking her up!!

She always uses the handicap stall and she stands there and shakes the door if someone is using the stall. Its so strange.

I could go on about some of the other people that I see on a regular basis. But I'm getting depressed thinking about all the wierdos, so I'll end. Sometimes its entertaining, but most times it's just crumby. really crumby.

PS... As to not make you think Im TOTALLY heartless...yes sometimes I do feel bad for talking about these kinds of people. I should be nicer. But sometimes it just really bothers me that they are so WIERD!

PPS...And please don't MAKE me tell you about some of the things I've seen, heard, and smelled in those fungus bathrooms to justify my bitterness. Just trust me on this one k.

Nippley man I met..ate my motorboat

Okay if you haven't seen this video on youtube...you really need to. It's a Thriller music video..Indian style. And there are subtitles that are how the lyrics sound in English. Does that make sense?? You'll see as you watch it- it's obviously not a direct translation, its just what the words the guy is saying sounds like in English.

anyway...saw this on Mike Ds blog and LOVED it.

fotografia

so we FINALLY got my entire family together for a picture. it was before my little sisters reception in Idaho. My mom just wanted a casual one in her house. (I know it looks a little disorganized and ghetto-ish....oh thats cuz it is- we just had a family friend take it. NO PROFESSIONALS FOR US!) And for the final one that we had printed, Brad cropped it and photo shopped out all the surrounding stuff- i.e. the plant and entertainment center.

(click to enlarge... if you DARE)
Me, Ammon, Andy, Sam, Amy, Anneke, Cyndie, Tom
Brad, Paige, Anna, Makenna, My mom, Kate, Abbie, Kaydence, Kylee, Aaron
(yes, all 6 of us kids' names start with 'A', and yes my older bros names are Ammon and Aaron)

My brother in law Sam said he didn't want to be on the end because he didn't want to look like we let the hired hand join in the family picture- since he is tongan and has dark skin. HA i thought it was hilarious. I love my family. Even though we are a bunch of crazies.

oh everyone

I would like to take a moment in time to apologize for my lack of posting..A. And my lack of commenting..B. I normally *dont' really listen to this part* blog during work (for shame, I KNOW) and anyway for the past week or so it won't let me add a new post, or leave comments. It blocks everything- so sorry about that.

So I'm going to have to try to remember to do my blog perusing AFTER work...at home.

So anywho- whats new in my life?? um...oh I got released from the Relief Society Presidency after 2 1/2 years and I got called a couple weeks ago to be the Laurel advisor. It's been awesome so far. It's so crazy though..I have totally forgotten what it's like to be 16/17. And thank HEAVENS for THAT. That would be a little joinky....an almost 27 year old that still feels like a 17 year old. Not good!

so anyway. thats the newest thing in my life. and now..I will be going through your blogs now.

(and yes, i did just make up the word 'joinky' use it how you will.)

3.31.2008

Its a Love without End, amen

So I just have to give a shout out to my dad today. 57 years ago today, March 31 1951, little Hanson Bayles was born.

I love you Dad.

Suckers BEWARE!

So I've already played this joke on 2 people today to test out my April Fools skills, and I'd say it went over better than expected.

OH WATCH OUT! YOU HAVE A SPIDER ON YOUR SHOULDER!!!!!

(now is when you jump out of your chair and start screaming and flailing your arms and hitting yourself and shaking your hands in your hair, in case the spider went from shoulder to hair)

wait for it......

APPPPRIIILLLLL FOOOOLLSSSS!!!!!!!....tomorrow

PS- In all reality, that is probably the only April Fools joke I've ever played on anyone. And I was telling someone at work that today and I tried it out on her, thinking she'd know that what I was about to say was the joke I was talking about....and she totally freaked out for real! It was hilarious- but on the same token, a little dumbfounding, because hello!!! well.... She's old (love ya Marsh) and so you can't expect much from her. :)

Its that time again!!!!!

I don't know about you, but I think it's high time for another round of "What the crap is in my purse that is making it so heavy and difficult to find anything!?"

So here goes nothin..

and wow- I think that is it. That is really not that much. Well- less than I expected. I've had more in there before thats for sure.

oh dang- now i have to put all this junk back in there. do you think I can just leave it scattered about like this on my desk. Im thinking my coworkers and boss probably won't care. If all else fails- I can tell them it's a garage sale at my cubicle. OR BETTER YET.....i can just yell APRIL FOOLS!! (I dont know how thats April Foolsish, but that beside the point.)

3.27.2008

for a special occassion

SOMETIMES I LIKE TO TYPE AS HARD
AND LOUD AS I POSSIBLY CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FOR SOME REASON IT IS REALLY FUN AND I THINK IT ANNOYS MY CUBICLE NEIGHBORS. BUT IT STARTS TO HURT MY FINGERTIPS AFTER A WHILE.

AND I GUESS ITS LAME TO POST ABOUT ........SINCE YOU CAN'T EVEN HEAR IT.
SO FORGET I SAID ANYTHING. AND I'M YELLING IN MY HEAD TO BE ABLE TO HEAR OVER THE TYPING ..THATS WHY THIS IS IN ALL CAPS.

OKAY! GOODBYE! ALL THIS YELLING IN MY HEAD IS CAUSING ME QUITE THE HEADACHE!!

(disclaimer: ne'er a worry babe, i never type like that on the laptop XOXOX)

The Screen Actors Guild...or wait...the Quilting Guild

Oh man. So I went to my first ever Quilting Guild meeting with my friend Melissa on Tuesday night. Oh. My. Gosh. There were probably about 30 women there, and we were all supposed to bring a quilt for "show and tell". Well Melissa and I were sitting towards the back and we already felt a little out of place, but then the first lady got up and showed a couple of quilts she brought......we seriously were like- um - how can we sneak out of here unseen. I literally almost did. No lie. It just got worse as more people showed theirs. It was like the most embarrassing thing EVER! Because these ladies had either machine quilted these quilts themselves on their sewing machines or hand quilted them and these quilts were HUUUGE (well some of them). I felt really lame school. So Melissa got up and showed hers and she's amazing, so that didnt help. And then I showed mine- and its my first one I'd ever made... the one for handsome little Jax..and these ladies were SOO nice! They totally clapped since it was my first one and some people took pictures of it and then after I sat down a few ladies asked me to pass it to them, so they could look at it again.

I think they were just being nice...but it sure made me feel a little less stupid for being there.
So all in all- it was fun! And I dare go back again. So yay!

3.25.2008

Man, I sure thought I was way more of an advanced blogger, than just to be at post #133. I thought for sure I was well beyond 200. My was I mistaken.

Im addicted to Sunflower Seeds. Its not good. They shrivel up my lips and make the inside of my cheek raw. (Dont read that part Brad, because I don't want to hear you say- I told you so)

I think I'm getting a blood clot in my leg from sitting all day. I'm just SURE I'm dying.

So I don't know if any of you entered the drawing on the Old Red Barn Co quilt giveaway last week. I know I didn't because I didn't see the point because my old self that was positive and happy and optimistic has disappeared and has left an ornery synical pessimistic unhappy old hag that figured I wouldn't win anway. So I just admired the quilt from afar. Anyway- what this lady did was on her 200th post she had people leave a comment on the post and that's how they entered the drawing for the quilt giveaway. I think that is a great idea! SO I think I am going to swipe her idea and do that on my "should've been passed this point like a year ago'" 200th-post.

If I somehow find the motivation deep within me and I finish the quilt sooner, maybe I'll do it on my 150th post. And if I lose all motivation and procrastinate (the more LIKELY option), then I will do it on my 800th post (or something of the sorts)

But really- I may find more motivation than I think, because don't you worry- I am now a 55 year old woman and I am joining a quilting guild. First guild meeting- Tonight. 8pm.

3.24.2008

OH MY GOSH!!!!!

I WAS JUST WHISTLING JINGLE BELLS?! WHAT IN THE blank AM I DOING !??

3.19.2008

just when I thought I couldn't possibly be any dumber....

I go and do something like this!

When I came out to the car for work this morning I was wondering why in the heck it seemed further away then usual. Oh its becuase i parked in #3's spot- and I live in #11. Hello!! Sad thing is- is that I've done this before- but I parked in #8's last time.

I laughed and laughed, but still felt pretty dang stupid. My husband is the one that took this picture- he left before I did today, and was dying laughing. I'm glad I could be so retarded.

3.18.2008

Deal or No Deal

So thank you all for playing the 'Which Movie do You Think I Liked' game. You are all pretty smart. I LOVED Dan in Real Life, Did NOT like Becoming Jane. I liked King of California, and I LOVED Rush Hour 3. My husbandido liked Becoming Jane, didn't like King of California, LOVED Dan in Real Life- and I think he mostly just laughed at Rush Hour because he was laughing at how hard I was laughing. I dont know why the heck I find Chris Tucker sooo hilarious. He's like riduculous and annoying, but so funny to me.

My advice to you all:

Watch Dan in Real Life- its great
Don't watch Rush Hour 3 unless its edited
Don't watch King of California unless its edited, and unless you want to be bored the whole movie, but then kind of like the ending.
Watch Becoming Jane if you want. But it's not that great.

3.17.2008

duuuuuuuuude

I'm so freakin tired. I went to sleep at 4 this morning...on the couch- and then woke up at 7 15 and went and got in bed and then my alarm starting going off 15 mins later. ugh. ive been delirious all day. I'm so tired it makes me literally sick- have you ever been that tired?? i'm sure everyone has been. i just feel i feel this way too much. And anyway, I just took a sleeping pill per the suggestion of my husband- he wants to make sure I'm sooo tired that I dont try to stay up and watch Little People Big World.

k im so tired- my head feels like a bowling ball teetering on a toothpick. not that my neck is so toothpick-like. k im rambling, i'll end.

here's some pics of the baby girl quilt i just made.

this is the front:the front and a corner of the back- aren't those just cute little chandeliers on that pink back fabric??-
the front and again a little bit of the back:
front: its just squares/diamonds and some of the squares have appliqued flowers
the back:

so what

So we watched 4 movies this weekend. FOUR! That is like a record or something I swear.

We watched, in order of appearance:

1. Rush Hour 3
2. King of California
3. Dan in Real Life
4. Becoming Jane

I was just going to post my comments on them. But I'm kind of curious....which do you think i loved, and which did I not love. Any guesses???

3.14.2008

Are we There Yet??

So it's been an eventful week. Or not really, but kind of.....but not really....sort of. I started feeling sick last Saturday- my throat was not feeling right. Then Sunday I had a fever and was sooooo achey and sickish and out of it but went to Sacrament meeting anyway because I was getting released and I don't know- I guess I just wanted to get everyone else at church sick so that I could find out who was in the new RS Presidency.

Monday, sick- came to work for an hour went home. Fever fever sick sick

Tuesday, sick- didn't even attempt to go to work. Felt like serious crap, sick sick, no fever, BARELY had a voice. Called my mom for sympathy, no answer. So I called my older sister, and she was very sympathetic. That's why I love older sisters.

Wednesday, still out of it and groggy- came to work for all 8 hrs. Felt like crap, had a voice but a reallllly bad cough and sinus congestion like you can't believe. coughed so hard I threw up.

Thursday, still a bad cough that just made me want to die. Came to work, left at 1- went home and slept. Had 2 meetings and a signing class. Coughed so hard I threw up AGAIN!

Friday- still coughy and stuffy, but am obviously feeling a little better because I can smell the serious funk in here. It smells like really bad B.O. I'm hoping that its onions and eggs or something, cuz its bad.

So I've only worked 2 1/2 days this week and this has been such a loooooong week. You'd think with all that time off I would have had lots of sleep. But just the opposite. I've slept TERRIBLE at night and was only able to nap during the day once (on thursday). So I am sooo tired and I just want to relax all weekend. So I think that is what I will do!

TGIF and better yet! TGIPD (Thank Goodnes its Pay Day)

Have a good weekend my dears

TA-DA!

So I finished another baby quilt this week. I have pictures to post, but have been too tired slash lazy to post them. But I will- do not despair.

Something that would be awesome

So I just blew my nose and thought...oh interesting- that sounded like a cougar growling.

You've CLEARLY been sick much too long if you do something like that. That's just wierd.

2.28.2008

HMM

Do you think when its like 2010 and later that we will say like i.e. I drive a 2018 4Runner.. or will we just say an 18? Hmmm. I'm thinking that will be kind of wierd. What year is your car? An 11. I dont know I guess everything feels wierd- I still kind of can't believe its really 2008. Anyway....just wondering.

My favorite person EVER (besides Brad of course)

This is Arabia Hunter. She is my FAVORITE person I've ever met in my life!! I met her on my mission in Albany,NY and fell in love with her right away. She was 15 and she was the smartest girl ever- we taught her the discussions and the Gospel just came so naturally for her. She has so much faith and just soaked up the Gospel and the Book of Mormon. She bore her testimony while she was investigating the Church and everyone just thought she was a member because she just understood it all so well and just had total faith in it all. Since she was only 15 her parents didnt want her to get baptized until she was 18 and so she waited - and sure enough when she was 18, she got baptized. That was like the greatest news that I've ever heard in my life. (that and Ryan McGreevy getting baptized- another Albany love)
She just sent me these pictures yesterday and I just had to post them. She's so amazing- I wish everyone could know her. We would have the most amazing discussions with her and then at the same time we just had so much fun with her too, laughing and joking- shes rad! She is going to school at Morrisville State College, doing nursing. I cant believe shes 20! ahh! that means I'm getting way old. sad. K I love her and thats just what I wanted to say

2.25.2008

I tagged myself. Is that legit?

Ive seen this "tag" before and just thought I'd tag myself. Dont judge me. Its about my husband and marriage

What is his name? Bradley John Frandsen the 8th, minus the 8th

How long have you been married? 3 years 5 months and 7 days

How long did you date? Date? I dont know that we DID date. We got engaged after 17 days of knowing each other. 4 months and 10 days after our first date we were married.

How old is he? Braddy will be.. oh crap..how old ARE you kid? oh yeah- he'll be 26. He's 10 months younger than I am.

Who eats more? Him. Not that Im a dainty eater or anything, but Im doing better.

Who said "I love you" first? Well he took his lunch hour one day to come take me to the store to get medicine cuz I was sick and I texted him and said I love you Brad Frandsen. But face to face he said it first. How bold was I though right?!

Who is taller? Brad. But if I wear heels we're about even.

Who sings better? I do. Sometimes Brad can carry a tune, sometimes not- but I still like when he sings.

Who is smarter? We're both equally smart. Or equally dumb- however you want to look at it.

Whose temper is worse? Are you kidding!?!??!? mine for sure. thats sad.

Who does the laundry? Lets be honest- he does. He's the best.

Who does the dishes? We both do. Im better at them, well Im picky how the dishwasher gets loaded.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Brad

Who pays the bills? I do. Although Im not great with money. But Brad is worse.

Who mows the lawn? what lawn

Who cooks dinner? We both do. But I will say this- his dinners are always better. We could make the same meal, and mine will taste like kaka, and his will taste divine....so whatever

Who drives when you are together? I LOVE to drive, but Brads so paranoid and he's a backseat driver so he just mostly drives.

Who is more stubborn? We both have our moments- but again, I am the bad spouse, I am WAY more stubborn overall.

Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Brad. But thats maybe cuz Im never wrong. i kid i kid

Whose parents do you see the most? Mine- cuz she lives close. If Brad would listen to me and move to California, we'd see his more.

Who proposed? he did.

Who has more friends? We're both highly unpopular. We basically have the same friends. But I do have to say..I have my mission friends close by that I see every so often- so I guess maybe I do- although Brads more social. I USED to be a little social butterfly- then I got fat(ter)- lost all confidence- and dont want to socialize with anyone anymore.

Who has more siblings? I do- I have 5, he has dos

Who wears the pants in the family? I think I do- because like I said earlier, I'm more stubborn. So he just gives in. But sometimes he's pretty firm- so it just kind of depends. They are rotating pants. But he makes better decisions- maybe he should just always wear them.

Who loves who more? I love him WAAAAY more than he loves me for sure! (ok that was not really part of the tag, but I just love him.)

weekend doings

So on Saturday my husband and I were driving to get groceries and drove by the Toyota Dealership and 2 1/2 hrs later left with a brand new Camry. We traded in my beloved 03 Camry for an 08 Camry- with 3 miles on it.

We had our blah-zay beige Camry for almost 2 years and I went thru a few different stages with it. First I had the, "oh good we have a reliable car" phase. Then there was the "this car is so BORING, lets get something sporty" - which furthermore led to our BMW Disaster of '06. Then I was happy to have a good car again. Then I was really over the car. Then over the past 7 or 8 months I have just reallllly LOVED my car. Despite the fact that the steering wheel squeaked all the time and it needed new tires so it was a total crap shoot in the snow, I was really in love with my little boring car. So we decided the only other car we'd really want to trade to that we could afford, was another Camry.

So call us crazy, call us boring, but don't call us crazy boring. Cuz we love our new silver Camry.

PS Sorry, this is the only photo I could pull up on my work computer because it blocks most pictures. But whatever- everyone knows what a Camry looks like!

i dont even care

All i want to do this weekend is have it rain/snow (because quite frankly thats all its going to do anyway so i might as well stop being all pissy about it- k THATS not really gonna happen, but we'll pretend like it) and I just want to stay snuggled on the couch in my cozy down blanket and watch CSI maybe a movie or two and read my books (The Lovely Bones and The Memory Keepers Daughter)

We have been gone the last 4 weekends and I couldnt be happier just to be able to be home and have ABSOLUTELY NO PLANS OR OBLIGATIONS!!!!!!!!!

hmm...interesting...

I saw these on my friends blog and thought they were great!

Can you cry under water?

How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered?

Why do you have to 'put your two cents in'.. But it's only a 'penny for your thoughts'? Where's that extra penny going to?

Why does a round pizza come in a square box?

How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?

Why is it that people say they 'slept like a baby' when babies wake up like every two hours?
If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing?

Why are you IN a movie, but you're ON TV?

Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?

Why do doctors leave the room while you change? They're going to see you naked anyway.

Why is 'bra' singular and 'panties' plural?

Why do toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp, which no decent human being would eat?

If Jimmy cracks corn and no one cares, why is there a stupid song about him?

Can a hearse carrying a corpse drive in the carpool lane?

If the professor on Gilligan's Island can make a radio out of a coconut, why can't he fix a hole in a boat?

Why does Goofy stand erect while Pluto remains on all fours? They're both dogs!

If Wile E. Coyote had enough money to buy all that ACME crap, why didn't he just buy dinner?

If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, what is baby oil made from?

If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?

Do the Alphabet song and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star have the same tune?

Why did you just try singing the two songs above?

Why do they call it an asteroid when it's outside the hemisphere, but call it a hemorrhoid when it's in your bum?

Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog's face, he gets mad at you, but when you take him for a car ride, he sticks his head out the window?

10 Years Ago: I was 16. I was loud and missed school alot and was flunking out of the majority of my classes. I was also really ugly. It was a sad time.

5 Things on my to-do list today:
1. Try to think of a reason not to go to work
2. Cant think of a reason so I go to work
3. Not quit work cuz I'm so stressed
4. GO TO MY SIGN LANGUAGE CLASS TONIGHT!!! WOOHOO
5. Watch CSI then go to bed.

5 Places I have lived:
1. Franklin, ID
2. Horseheads, NY
3. Albany, NY
4. Liverpool,NY (Syracuse)
5. Rexburg, ID

5 jobs that I have had:
1. My fave job ever- worked at a drug store
2. Housekeeper at a nursing home in Rexburg
3. Customer Service
4. Receptionist
5. Marketing Person

What I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire:Um are you kidding. I have LITERALLY written it out on paper many a times what I would do. All debt for my family and close friends- gonzo! Help all my family and friends with anything they need. I have written out before how much I would give to all my family and friends. Give money to the Church, I'd secretly help people out that I know that are struggling, I'd help people go on missions that dont have the money to go. TRAVEL have a personal trainer for shizzle and have a closet the size of my current condo filled with shoes. oh man- i'd have so many shoes and bags and cute clothes. And I would buy an Aston Martin a Range Rover and a Porsche Cayenne Turbo Sport. I'd seriously have a new car all the time. I would tootttally redo my whole apt- make it AMAZING and amazing and let someone like a single friend or a nice couple live in it for free. I'd have a serious sewing room- with a quilting machine. I would hire someone to teach me sign language and I would go to Ghana and help my friend with his non profit org that helps the deaf kids in Ghana. I would for sure have my whole family go on big trips, it would be a blast. I really think I should be a billionaire. I'd be generous and use it in great ways.

5 Things people don't know about me:
1. I'm kind of over blogging. (I still like to read others blogs, but I dont care to write much anymore) thats sad- maybe its just a phase
2. I realllly want a baby even though I say I dont want kids
3. I have OCD. I check the door 2 or 3 times before bed and wierd things like that
4. I'm a germaphobe
5. I am fat myself- but i still look down on people fatter than me.

more

Heres a couple more pics- My mom and Samy and then my niece Kaydence.

my feelings show

I can't believe that my little sister is married! WHO DOES SHE THINK SHE IS ANYWAY?!?! It's just crazy to think we are all getting so old. Oh well- not much we can do about that right? Right. But we had so much fun in Arizona for the wedding. My mom and I flew down Wednesday night and ran a bunch of errands on Thursday to make sure Amy was all ready and then did the same thing again Friday. Friday night there was a dance- Sam is Tongan so they always have a big dance the night before the wedding. It was really fun! And they had different performances and they go and put money on the dancers and the money goes to the bride and groom. So that was really cool. Then Saturday was soo gorgeous and fun! It was like 76 degrees- are you kidding?! it was so rad. After the wedding there was a dinner with more performers, so more money for Amy and Sam. It was awesome- Sams family did SO much for this dinner. His mom made like 50 quilts in the past 3 months and they give them away at the dinner. Its the whole Tongan culture- too much to explain right now- but its really cool. And all the woman stayed up for like 2 days before the wedding finishing quilts and cooking for the dinner. I dont know how they did it. But anyway- it was awesome. Here are just a couple pics - the first one is my niece Kate and then Amys flowers and then Sam and Amy- the newlyweds. Now I just call them Samy for short :)

IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN

So in 2 days- well in 53 hrs- I will be in Arizona. Where there is no snow. And no work. And man am I excited!!!!

I'm trying to lose a few pounds before then. I've been doing pretty good- but my one vice has been Dr Pepper. I can't help but suckle at its dark sweet teat. But today I just decided that I'm being stupid- giving up feeling a little better about myself because of it. (I always lose weight when I stop drinking it) So I switched to Diet Dr Pepper today. The after taste of Diet drinks make me want to die- but Ive been told by one of my gal pals that I'll get used to the taste in no time. please bless. Because I nearly can't handle it as of now.

Wish me luck.

I might just need some divine intervention and/or a personal trainer to make this work. If any of you are able to hook me up with either one of those things- please do.

saucy

just wondering what i thought i was doing when i parked on solid ice this morning. i got out of the car, slipped and fell right over onto my side. I totally SLAMMED my shoulder onto the ice, got my pants alll muddy and my water bottle that was once in my hand, ended up under the car next to mine.

While i was alreay down there, stunned, embarrassed and in pain- i slid over on my stomach and got my water bottle. Then I tried to stand back up- slipped AGAIN and landed on my knees and scraped the palms of my hands. I thought for a moment that i should just lay there until the ice melts away in a couple months, because I didn't know how i was going to get off that ice except for army crawling and probably ripping my coat, shirt or pants. But I finally made it off the iceberg.

dont worry- im ok.

and i do have to say i feel bad now- because when my husband told me a couple weeks ago that when he got out of his 4 Runner at work that he fell right onto his knees, I couldn't stop laughing. And when I told him that I fell he was so sweet and concerned.

so dont i feel like a jerk. But HEY! Thats just my NATURE to laugh when people fall.

DONT JUDGE ME!

prize winning mini

Rob & Big last night was to. die. for!

I watched it this morning while I was eating my breakfast. And honestly it took me 20+ plus mins to finish my bowl of cereal because I kept choking from laughing. I swear on my life that a Cheerio came THIIIIIS close to coming out of my nose.

snow snow go away. go away i HATE YOU

interesting that the word 'sNOw' has the word 'NO' in it. no, i guess it's not really interesting. but i wish there was NO sNOw.

side parts break hearts

So I hate the snow, it's no secret. I do have to say though that I was so happy that even with the 7 inches we got yesterday, when I went out to my car last night, there was no snow on it and I wasnt stuck! That was awesomeness. But unfortunately everything is pretty slick today. The road to my work is a residential street and is 25 mph, and I saw this cute little old man just starting down his sidewalk to his mailbox and he was only in my view for like 7 seconds but I saw him slip TWICE in those seconds. It was intense. That icy sidewalk to his mailbox was his Everest, I'm sure. And Im the jerk that didnt think to stop and help him until i was like in my work parking lot. And by that time he'd probably already broken his hip.

Thats sad. So let's all be careful k.

OH! That reminds me of a story. When I was on my mission I was serving in Albany with
Dudley and it was February, so icy and freeeeezing!! And this is not really relevant but while I'm remembering it I need to write it down for my own sake and for Dudley if she reads this. We had just been at an appointment on 2nd street teaching a lady with some CRAZY kids that wouldnt stop being psycho for one second so we could even teach them anything. And we came out of the house and we were just coming to the corner of I think it was Ontario St, maybe Quail and all of a sudden this black guy with no shirt on comes RUNNING RIGHT BY US and a second later here comes 2 cops chasing him. We were like WHAT THE!??! And so we ran to the corner to watch and here we were, 2 Sister Missionaries in skirts and name tags and standing right by us were some older guys, 2 Orthodox Jews with the long beards, hats and ringlets and we 4 just stared and watched them take this guy down. It was hilarious.

So anyway...we went to 3rd street to do some tracting and to nonchalantly meet Mary Kelleys (one of the members of the Albany Branch, and a new convert) non member sister. They have really steep stairs on that street - they are the row houses, that are just tall and narrow and side by side and have the steep steps, yeah those- and the stairs were sooo icy and I slipped coming down one and my lower back NAILED the edge of one of the stairs. DUDE it hurt like nothing else. I think it even knocked the wind out of me I hit so hard. And Dudley was trying not to laugh, and I was like just laugh. so she did. I had THEE GNARLIEST bruise I have ever had in my life!! It went from one side of my lower back to the other. It was gross. But funny at the same time.

anyway- that was totally a story just for me- you dont have to had enjoyed that- it was just fun to go down memory lane there for a mome.

Moral of the Story: Do not fall down on the ice or on stairs or anywhere else k.

little orphan awesome part 2

So I just remembered another scary food experience I had recently. I was starving on my way to work the other day so I stopped at Kneaders Bakery (super yum) for a breakfast croissant. Their croissants are soo delicious and flaky and wonderful..and I love them. But I was trying to eat it on my way to work, cuz I can't eat at my desk and I didn't want to be late so I had no choice but to eat it on the way. It was a tasty but dangerous decision. Croissant flakes were flying everywhere, (Later in the day I noticed that I practically had a whole croissant down my shirt) but that's not the point - whilst I was driving and eating one of the flakes FLEW into my eye!!! It was so buttery and painful!!! And if something flies in my eye unannounced, I'm sorry but my first reaction is to immediately close my eyes. I was trying to open them but the one hurt so bad and they started watering and so things were blurry and I was driving on state street. It was a mess. But luckily I think the thing melted in my eye or something- I dont know. But the pain subsided..I got a grip..and didn't kill anyone in the process.

And then I finished my croissant. just with a little less vigor this time around.

little orphan awesome

I almost choked (not just like fake choked, but like as in 'choked to my death' choked) on a pea the other day. It was scary. And most of all, embarrassing.

I normally dont like talking about what I eat because I feel like when I say what I eat people are like "Ooooooohhhhhh THATS why youre so fat" Especially when its something like fries or a hamburger or something. Like the other day i got fry sauce on my shirt and couldnt get it out. So I had to walk around with it on my shirt all day. JUST SO THERES NO CONFUSION as to why my weight loss goals are not being reached- i'll leave some of the reason on my shirt!... just so we'll all be on the same page."

i'm always thinking of others.

But anyway back to my near death experience. I ordered some Rice Wok, (cheap but delish Chinese food) and I was eating it in the breakroom at work and a pea from the ham fried rice went down the wrong pipe and was just stuck there like half way down. And I was trying to take a deep breath to cough it up, but I couldnt really breath because when I would try it would like rattle the pea and it would hurt and choke me. I sat there purple faced gagging and trying to cough for MINUTES while the people around me just kept eating and tried to not notice my choking. 'if we pretend to not hear her dying, then we can't be held accountable.' I tried drinking some water but the problem was that I can't get water to go down the wrong pipe on command- so it was just flowing unobstructed down the right tube. DANG IT! I finally coughed the pea up somehow, and my face started to get its normal coloring back. And all was well.

..and knowing is half the battle..

So I have really realized through reading my "The Office" calendar quote each day, how much the lessons learned in The Office apply to my everyday life. And I would like to bear my testimony about it.

On January 9th I was having a hella bad day (that is soooo 2001, i know) and I nearly MURDERED my job...and lo and behold the quote for the day was as follows:
"Right now this is just a job. If I advance any higher...that would make this my career. And if this were my career, I would have to throw myself in front of a train. So, really, it's a matter of life and death."

I stuck a push pin in that quote and its hanging in my cubicle.

The other day I was thinking some things they are asking us to do at work were absurd and the quote was from Ryan saying how ridiculous them having a bird funeral was.

Today I just read on my friends blog about how bad the healthcare field is, and the quote for the day is about how Dwight doesnt need insurance because he has superior genes and superior brain power.

HOW DO YOU KEEP KNOWING WHAT I'M GOING THRU, THE OFFICE??? It just does, and its miraculous. And I love it. A+.

1.16.2008

Just when you thought it couldnt get any wierder...

I was sitting in the breakroom today eating lunch, and there were 3 girls sitting right by me at the table and they were all talking together and UNFORTUNATELY I couldn't help but hear their entire conversation. The one girl was pregnant and has a 16 month old and she was telling the other 2 that her 16 month old is, and i quote "having a hard time making a poop". And one of the ladies that obviously knows the pregnant girl ALLLL too well said- "Well we know YOU don't have a problem with that." Pregnant girl, "Well I don't have a problem with that NOW - And my husband...oh man he goes like 3 times a DAY and I'm like what is UP WITH YOU!!" and then she cut herself off and said "oh i guess people are trying to eat. My husband always tells me I talk about inappropriate stuff at the dinner table, and now I see what he's talking about. "

UM DO YA THINK?!?!?!!? I put down my fork....threw my food away..and went back to work.

1.15.2008

I got a new phone. And we're in love.

1.13.2008

We were eating carrot sticks tonight and one of them looked like almost the size of a real carrot. This is the ginormo carrot stick next to a regular carrot stick.

I finally FINISHED a quilt- can you believe it?

I have started 4 quilts- and have never finished one.........until NOW! I made this baby quilt for my good friend Lara..well for her baby boy Jax. He is toooooooo cute. And if i don't say so myself...the blanket turned out pretty cute. It really has made me want to finish my other blankets and make some more.

youre my smoochy face

oh one last thing before i go to bed. i just must say that my husband is rad. i came home from work tonight to find braddy with dinner ready and the house clean (well it was already clean, but that's not the point) and after we ate he just wanted to snuggle on the couch. and him just wanting to snuggle up isn't something that happens very often, so it was lovely of him. he is my dream boat.

bobby light

So I've decided that for anyone that has been wanting to hire me as a private investigator for all your private affairs that need investigating..that maybe it wouldn't be a good idea. This is a hard reality to face...for myself and i'm sure you as well...but I have come to terms that I am not a stealth-like person. I realized this when I got out of bed tonight at 1 and was trying to be quiet so I wouldn't wake up Brad. Whenever I'm trying to be quiet, I become like some clumsy fool. For instance- I reached for my glasses on the night stand, found them without making a noise but when I picked them up I knocked over my alarm clock and it fell off the night stand, hit the bed frame-bounced off-hit the night stand and THEN landed quietly on the carpet. bad plan clock. bad plan. if it HAD to fall, couldn't it have JUST hit the carpet and not everything else it possibly could.

Or how about the one where I get out of bed quietly, get my glasses quietly (you might think its weird that getting my glasses could be so loud, but if you saw my nightstand...your heart would be filled with understanding-its much like my purse if you read that post)- anyway on with what i was saying: and then run into the armour door and yelp. *while we are here talking about how i just said i yelped, i'm just wondering- do only dogs yelp? If that is indeed the case, then whatever. i did something like unto the noise of a yelping dog.

Maybe you'd prefer when i knock something off the bathroom counter onto the tile floor, or turn on the tv and the volume is turned majorly up and i have the remote upside down and my frantic VOLUME DOWN pushing keeps changing the channels and the volume is ne'er disturbed. OK im tired. and i have trouble sleeping way way too often if you haven't noticed. k..lates

Pure Love

So for Christmas Brads Mom got me one of those calendars that you set on your desk and rip off a page a day. Do you know what I'm talking about?? Well I do- and anyway theres a quote a day and all the quotes are from The Office- and I'm so in love with this calendar. I've died laughing reading through these. So I make no promises- but I will try to put the quote of the day on my blog every day. * Okay so I just thought of what I just said- I would have to go into my blog every day- 365 days straight and put a new quote up....yeah..not gonna happen. * But anyway- maybe 7 of the days out of the year there will be a new quote up on the right column. So look for that. And since I'm behind- here's the last few days worth. enjoy. they are delicious.

Jan 1. Dwight: I was crying because it was New Year's and it started snowing at exactly midnight.

Jan 2. Michael: I've been at Dunder-Mifflin for twelve years, the last four as regional manager....See, we have the entire floor, so this is my kingdom, far as the eye can see.

Jan 3. Michael: You know the saying, "A cluttered desk means a cluttered mind?"....I say an empty desk means......an empty mind.

Jan 4. Jim: My job is to speak to clients on the phone about,er ...quantities and types of copier paper- you know, whether we can supply it to them, whether they can pay for it....and I'm boring myself just talking about this....

Jan 5/6: Dwight: Reject a woman and she will never let it go. One of the many defects of their kind. Also, weak arms.

Jan 7. Michael: Ah, this is our receptionist, Pam....Pam has been with us for....forever....If you think she's cute now you should have seen her a couple of years ago. MEOW.

PS- the only downer to these calendars, is that to fully enjoy the calendar-you really need to rip of the top page every day and I hate that. It really hurts my stomach each time I've pulled it off. It feels like I'm destroying it. but i have no choice right? sigh.

dance hall drug

On Saturday the 29th Brad and I were in Salt Lake waiting to pick our friend Mike D from the airport. His plane got delayed for 3 hrs so we went to see National Treasure 2 in West Valley. What were thinking....GHETTTTTO!!!! Not the movie, the theater/area. I feared for my life. Guaranteed 76% of the people at the movies that night were carrying weapons. So anywho- the movie got out at like 10:15 and we didn't need to be to the airport for almost 2 more hours. Well it just so happened that Juno was playing in the theater next to ours and it had JUST started. If there was ever a good time to sneak into a movie- it was now. Noone was around, we had the time to watch another one, it was one we wanted to see, and it wasn't even close to sold out so there were plenty of seats. So we nonchalantly walked into the movie- like thiefs in the night. I didn't even make it far enough up the little hallway to see the screen, I couldn't do it!!!! I felt so dishonest and quite frankly was afraid of being caught by some smart little teenager in a maroon polyester vest, pleated pants, and a flashlight. So we didn't go. Brad couldn't believe my pansiness, and I couldn't believe MY HUSBAND- Mr Never Breaks the Rules- wanted to SNEAK into a movie. And not even that- he didnt see what the big deal was. We have started taking a poll to see who would and would not sneak into a movie. Brads family would,my 2 brother in laws would, but my siblings would not. (2 of them HAVE once done so, one felt guilty, the other didn't really feel bad but still said its technically stealing.) One of our friend couples- the husband would, the wife would not. Another couple the husband would not, the wife would.

What would YOU do??? And trust me- You will not be looked down upon if you sneak into movies. (Although it is sneaky, stealing and dishonest) We have had a good laugh over this all- and want to see what everyone else thinks. So please leave your comment. Also Brad has an actual poll taker on his blog if you would like. Click here to vote.

Close your eyes if you're a boy.

Is it possible to feel the symptoms of a period and not actually HAVE a period? (I'm going to tell myself that me feeling emotional and sensitive and breaking out and craving chocolate is not just ME, but rather me about to start a period. because frankly I can't handle the truth)

The other night Brad and I were talking and he started playfully teasing me about how I answer my cell phone, and for some reason I could not handle it! I was eternally crushed. So someone please tell me that I'm really not THAT sensitive- but rather just nearing that time of the month (although nothing ever actually happens at "that time of the month" for me).

somebody.....anybody? bueller?

Can you believe its 2008 already??? I don't know if I can. I swear on everything good and holy that the years are flying by faster each year. I figure that when I'm 40 the years will only consist of 1 month. And that will just be bizarre. How am I already 26 1/2. I knows its because 26 1/2 years have passed since my birth. But I just don't comprehend that. My life is like going so fast without me, I'm a good 3 years behind. I'm just learning and deciding to do things I should have known and done and decided 3 years ago. Am I too old to get skinny and learn how to break dance and play the drums. I hope not. Cuz I really want to. Okay enough about how I regret that I've been stupid and boring for the past few years.

For New Years Brad and I went to moms. She cute and funny. We enjoy visiting her in her new little house that is so cute and perfect and cozy. It's just a different pace up there, we just relax and play games and watch movies. It's nice and so quiet and pretty.

All my life on New Year's Eve we put out one of our shoes just in the living room and in the morning we would have little unwrapped gifts from the New Years Elf. I LOVE this tradition. It's never anything big- just something random and fun. Like a candybar and some new pens. Or a yo yo and silly string..something like that. Well this year the New Years Elf brought me,mom, Brad and my brother Ammon these little stuffed animal things that have a little pouch that you put this thing in that vibrates- so its a little massage toy. Its really funny looking, but actually works pretty good. My mom, I mean the New Years Elf, bought them at Kings- its this little store that I think is only in Preston and Logan, maybe theres one in Pocatello too- who knows. I haven't been to Kings in DECADES!! Anyway, The best part of the whole gift is we opened the boxes up and there was a coupon inside that said that if you wanted to enter some contest to send this coupon in by June 1998!! These wierd little Snuggle Buddies had been stored in the backroom at Kings since '97!!!!!! HA! My mom was like- oh no wonder they were only $3. we had a good laugh.

I remember one New Years, the elf brought my brother Aaron one of those paddles that has an elastic and a ball attached- you know what i'm talking about, and all I got was some new underwear! I was probably 10 and i was so upset. And I remember my mom calling me an ungrateful little snot. Sad. Still brings a tear to my eye. Okay not really- I just feel bad I complained about a GIFT! I was a lame child. Sorry mother. I'm sure the underwear lasted far beyond the 3 mins that paddle ball game lasted.

Heels over Head

I feel like I need to hang my head in shame because of my serious beyond serious lack of blogging. I just hope I haven't lost friends over this.

So Christmas is over. That came and went so fast I can't even quite believe it. Brad and I made out like bandits this Christmas! Everyone was SOOOOOOOO good to us!! The niceness was uncalled for really. We don't deserve it. We went to California and stayed with Brads Mom, Step-Dad and littler brother. It. was. so. fun!!! And relaxing and enjoyable and all those good words. I love going and spending time with them, although it's probably really best I DONT go visit them because I never want to leave, and I have to. It's tragic.

It was a little colder there than when we went 2 years ago- but hey we were still in shorts and flip flops and most importantly there was NO SNOW. That's really all that matters to me. Our plane was delayed for 3 1/2 hrs on our way back and that was lame- but whatever, at least we didn't have to drive right? Right.

Well I hope you all had a great holiday. Sorry that I'm only over a week late in saying that.

12.13.2007

Okay I have to just say that you have to know before reading this, that I am not meaning in a mean way AT. ALL! It was just such a funny conversation (funny meaning awkward funny) that I had to share. It actually happened like 2 months ago and I wrote it all down because I had enjoyed it so much. And honestly- I have talked to this kid quite a few times and he's a nice kid- but I just have to type how he talks so you get the full jist. (i dont know how to spell that word) Anyway- there is a cafe/cafeteria/food court thing at my work and I went and ordered a chicken sandwich and ended up having a 5-10 min conversation (before he even started to make my food, come to find out) with the guy making my food.....here goes.

His words- Green
Mine- Blue
Tone things were said in- Red

Him: "What can I getcha"
Me: "I just want a grilled chicken sandwich, and can I get some provolone cheese on that please?"
Him: "PROVOLOOONAY!!!!!!!"
**Immensely Startled ** : "OH! Oh my."
"Do you want lettuce on it too?"
"Yes Please"
Silence....
"My Phone is winging" ..what are the odds..thats so funny.
"oh"
"I have a Blackbewwy"
"oh, those are nice"
"Yeah..its WEEALLY nice"
"yeah, i would love one"
"I have it hooked up to my email at my pawents house. So if I get an email there it comes wight to my phone." ...im too dang cool for school. in fact, i probably am too cool to talk to you
"Oh thats awesome"
"Yeah. (pause) I bet that was an email I just got. I pwobably have like THWEEEE emails now" ....NOONE in the world possibly gets THAT many emails on THEIR phones....
"Wow- that's really nice they come right to your phone"
"Yeah." "I wish i was outside widing my bike wight now." ...looking longingly outside
"It IS a really nice day." ....oh! i didnt realize we were going to be switching subjects so abruptly
"Yeah. I have a WEALLY nice bike. I keep it at my pawent's house." ..i am SO wise for making the decision to keep it safe at my parents.
"That's probably a good idea- its safer there than at an apartment."
"Yeah. So where you work" ..oh maybe we should talk about you while we wait for your food
"I work for AT&T"
"OOOOOOOOOOH!!!!! I USED to have AT&T. But I switched to T-Mobile because they had a gweat deal on Blackbewwys." ...i HATE to have to tell you I'm not with AT&T anymore...OUCH..BURN!
"Ahh. Very nice."
Minutes of silence. Both of us just standing.
"Oh Sowwy."
"Sorry for what??"
"I forgot to start cooking your chicken."

Ahhh...good times. I had seen him get OUT the chicken- but i didnt even notice he hadn't done anything with it. it was just too great. the whole conversation and the awkward silence with us just standing there. too fun.

Embarrassing Moment # 3 million 276 thousand

im a doodler by nature- i could doodle my life away if possible. yesterday just before leaving work i wrote down my grocery list on a sheet of paper and then filled the rest of the paper with odds and ends of doodles using my beautiful assortment of markers. when i picked up the paper to put it in my pocket i realized that the markers had bled thru and stained my desk. so now on my desk in block letters it says "I LOVE YOU BRAD". then, where i had just written random thoughts and words, there are dots on my desk. the dots show where i started and stopped a letter- where i put the most pressure. so in all reality- you could connect the dots on my desk and you would reveal words such as "laundry detergent" "groceries" "grocery list" "forever young" "i wanna be forever young".....things of that nature. normal average things to be doodling on a piece of paper.

i don't really know what to do. i scrubbed it as soon as i realized what happened, but to no avail. why do i never think before i do something, its so irritating. there are, luckily, 2 bright sides to this story.

1- i guess my love for Brad will always be known though.

2- i left work frazzled and upset, but when I got in the car Rythym is a Dancer was on the radio and all my frustrations melted away.

thank heavens for close parking spots- so my face didnt freeze and fall off when i walked into work today.

thank heavens that my presidency meeting was cancelled tonight so I can work on some unfinished projects.

thank heavens that its 4pm and not 2pm. because if it were 2pm i'd still have 4 hrs of work left.

thank heavens for funny people that make me laugh til i nearly wet myself.

thank heavens for the restrooms being close by so that i dont have to wet myself when people make me laugh so hard.

thank heavens that i go to california in a week from tomorrow, because i dont think i can possibly wait any longer.

thank heavens that my husband cleaned the kitchen last night, so i can go home to a clean warm house after work.

thank heavens for blogs that entertain me when im bored at work.

thank heavens that i remembered to bring my book to work today, so i can read the rest of the day.

Some people have absolutely no shame.

So lets talk about exhibit A. Wiry man that sleeps and farts alot and sits a cubicle down and across the aisle from me. Remember him from the post "Room With a View"?? Well I do.

He is such an interesting fellow. Our manager has a bag of candy that he will pass around every couple of days so we can get our sugar fill...well everytime the managers leave for a meeting this guy MOVES IN ON THE CANDY!! He gets in my bosses drawer and takes candy!!! It's so wierd to me that it doesn't feel wierd to him to be getting into not his own desk. I mean, it probably isn't that big of a deal in the eternal scope of things....what am I saying- YES IT IS! He's a sneak and a thief THAT SLEEPS AND FARTS WITH NO SHAME ON A REGULAR BASIS...........AT WORK!!

He's so funny to watch try to be sneaky. He just walked to the aisle that the managers sit on, paced back and forth to make sure noone was watching and took some candy. Then about 3 or 4 mins later he circled the whole office and ended up with his hand in the drawer taking candy. He just left again- probably planning another suprise attack. Im just waiting for the sound of the drawer being slowly opened and the rustling of candy. Little does he know I'm onto his little games and I'm watchin like a hawk!

I have to give the biggest blog hug ever to my friend Kaela that made my blog look so cute! I LOVE YOU KAELA RAE and your amazingly creativeness and talentedness. I am forever in awe. Thanks deary.

MAKE IT STOP!

I am so done with seeing peoples cracks every dang day! I don't know how I work in the same building as so many ginormously hairy men that can't keep their pants in the appropriate spots.

what has life come to for me? Is this it? Is THIS MY calling in life...to be the buttcrack observer??!?!!?!?!?

*sigh*

even worse...yesterday i saw a very laaaaaaaarge man come out of the bathroom and he had diarrhea on the back of his shirt. a big shmear of it. and i gagged. many times. profusely. and I wasnt alone- my dear friend Marsha was there to witness it with me. my poor poor virgin eyes. tainted. scarred. wounded. bloodied. at the mercy of the poopsmith. ( i would feel bad for sharing such a gross story. but i had to see it in 1st person. alas- i feel no remorse)

and then today. I am using the bathroom when all of a sudden I can hear men talking..really closely. how can I hear them talking so clearly?? oh thats how- the cleaning lady had come and propped the door wide open. luckily nothing crazy was going on in there for all the world to behold. but i do have to say it was awfully wierd walking out of the bathroom stall and being able to look out in the hallway at all the passersby. could she not have waited?

*sigh*

uncomfortable.

SOMEONE HELP ME! I REALLY HAVE NOT A THING TO SAY!!!!

I'm scared. I've never been so speechless in all my life.

I need someone at work to do something really stupid/embarrassing/annoying to give me some ammo- but they aren't doing ANYTHING!!!!!!

Sorry for the not writing-ness. I'm having a serious case of nothing to say. I will try to be better - but I make no promises.
